Phillip Huffines

Phillip graduated from high school in Dallas, Texas at St. Mark's School of Texas. He went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981 with a BBA.  From 1983 through 1989, he and his twin brother, Donald, worked together brokering and developing shopping centers and large land tracts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. From 1989 through 1991, he managed one of his father's automobile dealerships in Lewisville, Texas, and then rejoined his brother in January 1992 in land development and investment. Phillip and Donald purchased over 2,500 lots and several thousand acres of land from various financial institutions in the early 1990's. They have assembled more than 70 different limited partnerships and developed numerous subdivisions. Beginning in 1998 they focused on developing large master-planned communities.

Most of these MPCs are located in the Dallas Ft. Worth area:  City of Rowlett - Waterview Golf community: 1700 lots; City of Carrollton - Indian Creek Ranch: 1100 acres; City of Frisco - Panther Creek: 1000 acres with 3000 lots; Denton County - Providence: 2300 lots; Denton County - Savannah: 2400 lots; City of Prosper - Artesia: 1800 lots; City of Arlington - Viridian: 3500 lots and Wylie/Lucas/St. Paul - Inspiration: 600 acres with 1500 lots.

Since 2010 they have been active in developing apartment communities  and have developed 444 units in 2014, with plans to construct 675 units in 2015.

Phillip is an active member in ULI and was a panelist in the DFW master-planned community seminar. Phillip is well known as a leading expert in creating and developing financially successfully TND (Traditional Neighborhood Design) communities.
