This past week, the Huffines Communities team spent time competing in the Junior Achievement 2021 Trivia Swing. Prior to the event, the Huffines team spent many months raising money to benefit Junior Achievement. JA (Junior Achievement) is dedicated to providing a positive, enriching learning experience, free of bias that promotes greater economic opportunity and equity so that every student can succeed in the business of life.
32 years ago, Junior Achievement of Dallas hosted its first JA Bowl-a-Thon. The event not only became crucial to the success of educating local students, but it also became a way for partnering companies to offer their employees a fun way to give back to the community.
Much like past Bowl-a-Thon events, participants in Trivia Swing had the opportunity to compete and bond with colleagues- while raising life-changing dollars.
Like JA Bowl-a-Thon, all contributions went directly toward preparing and inspiring Dallas students to succeed in a global economy.
The event was very successful, and the Huffines Communities team ended up raising over $24,000!
Competing for that first place spot, one Huffines employee took home the trophy for swinging in the best score at 150 points!
While another employee didn’t do so hot, shooting a total of 14 points.
Overall the event was a success, and we cannot wait to see how much money we raise next year for JA!
