At Huffines Communities, our dedication to creating vibrant, welcoming communities was on full display at our recent Huffines Appreciation Event on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Held at The Rustic in Dallas, this event honored the builders, realtors, vendors, and partners who play an essential role in the success of our communities.

Kicking off the night, Silverada brought their unique blend of soulful rock and country that set the perfect tone for the evening. Known for their deep Texas roots and authentic sound, Silverada combines rich vocals, captivating guitar riffs, and heartfelt lyrics that resonated with our guests. Their performance created an inviting, laid-back atmosphere, drawing guests to the stage and setting the mood for a night of celebration. Silverada’s music complemented the event’s Texas theme perfectly, leaving the audience energized and ready for the festivities to unfold.
Guests were treated to a variety of Texas-inspired attractions, including bigger-than-life cowboy stilt walkers and a charming beer and water-toting donkey mingling with guests. Attendees could also step into a VR experienceshowcasing Huffines’ newest communities, Solterra, and others, or test their roping skills on a calf roping simulator. At the Huffines Mercantile, guests picked up exclusive Huffines-branded items like custom tote bags, coffee mugs, and bandanas. Guests could even personalize their items with a custom chain stitcher and brand their boots, hats, and leather keychains with a custom brander, making for memorable keepsakes.
The Huffines Appreciation Event wasn’t just a night of celebration; it was a full sensory experience, especially for guests’ palates. Our menu, expertly prepared by The Rustic, featured a variety of bold Texas flavors and creative drink offerings that perfectly complemented the evening’s festive atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a mouth-watering spread prepared by The Rustic, including specialties like Wild Boar Meatballs, Spicy Tamales, Chicken Tinga Tacos, and Smoked Brisket Tacos, complemented by sides of Grilled Mushrooms, Poblanos & Onions, Chunky Avocado Salad, Jalapeno Spoon Bread, and Handmade Bacon Fat Corn Tortillas. The drinks at the event were equally impressive, with signature cocktails crafted to reflect the essence of Huffines Communities’ most beloved developments. Each cocktail was a tribute to the communities we’ve built, and they provided a refreshing complement to the evening’s offerings including the Huffines House Margarita, the Solterra [Vodka] Soda, the Horizon Lakes G & T, and the Waterscape Woodford Cola.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the 2024 Jeep Wrangler Giveaway—a celebration of the exceptional professionals who help make our communities thrive. Through a thrilling raffle process, ten semi-finalists advanced to a lockbox drawing, and five finalists then chose key FOBs, each hoping to be the one that would unlock the grand prize. When Britney Stewart, a standout real estate professional from Solterra, finally unlocked the Jeep, the crowd erupted in cheers. Her win was a testament to her commitment to the Huffines vision.
Britney was thrilled, saying, “I’m absolutely thrilled and so grateful to Huffines Communities. Solterra is a wonderful place to work and share with clients. Winning this Jeep makes an already amazing experience even better.”
The night hit a high note when Cory Morrow took the stage. A beloved icon of the Texas country music scene, Cory is known for his soulful voice, engaging stage presence, and heartfelt songs that capture the essence of Texas life. His hits, including fan favorites like “Texas On My Mind” and “Big City Stripper,” had the crowd singing along and celebrating. Cory’s performance brought the crowd together, creating a sense of camaraderie that reflected the spirit of Huffines Communities. His upbeat, authentic style made for an unforgettable experience, reminding everyone of the importance of community, celebration, and appreciation.
