On August 12, 2019, our company was featured in an online news source dedicated to multifamily development. The press release highlights unique and luxurious amenities existing and on the way in both our multifamily and master planned communities.
Today, Huffines Communities, a Dallas-based residential real estate development company, announced the opening of new community-centered amenities at three of its award-winning North Texas developments Heartland, Inspiration and Hebron 121 Station. Amenities like walking trails, fishing piers, splash pads and luxury dog parks are designed to bring residents with common interests together.
“With a number of developments across North Texas, it’s important that the amenities offered at each one of our communities enhance the lifestyle of every resident and create shared experiences between neighbors,” said Phillip Huffines, co-owner of Huffines Communities. “In today’s amenity-rich environment, new homebuyers have certain expectations like a community pool, walking trails and playgrounds. What sets Huffines Communities apart, is a sense of authenticity with amenities like lakes with fishing access, putting greens, covered barbeque grills, soccer fields and indoor/outdoor event spaces, that are designed to foster a sense of community.”
Located 20 miles east of downtown Dallas in between Crandall and Forney in Kaufman County, Heartland is a 2,150-acre master-planned community that will have 8,000 homes once complete. The Heartland community currently has 2,500 homeowners, and recently opened the $6.5 million “Oasis Amenity Center” for its residents. The new facility includes a 5,100-square-foot event center with a catering kitchen; a 6,500-square-foot fitness center; multiple resort-style pools with two 30-foot waterslides; a covered outdoor game room; and a spray park.
In addition to the 5,500-square-foot resort-style pool and activity center, Heartland also has a volleyball pool and young children’s pool. Families of this master-planned community enjoy a “Pirate’s Cove” playground, a basketball court, a soccer field and baseball diamond for year-round outdoor activities. Residents also have access to a fishing pier on a 35-acre stocked lake and 400 acres of parks, picnic areas and walking/biking trails.

It currently has more than 700 families living in the community. Current residents recently celebrated the completion of Club Inspiration, a one-of-a-kind community amenity complex. Club Inspiration has a 6,600-square-foot event center; a large lawn for outdoor events; a 5,300-square-foot, two-story world-class fitness center; a playground and a snack bar. In addition to the new amenity center, Inspiration will complete several new amenities over the next few months including a putting green, sand volleyball court and hammock park. Residents can also expect a dog park and walking access to Trinity Trail, along Lake Lavon.

“The desire for a sense of community as an amenity has grown and our goal is to create communities that bring people together,” said Donald Huffines, co-owner at Huffines Communities. “Over the past three decades Huffines Communities has brought more than 10,000 homes to the North Texas region, but more than that, we’ve shaped close-knit communities by offering activities and amenities that are designed to foster interactions between neighbors.”
Huffines Communities has eight active communities under development in the North Texas region. Each community is designed to facilitate interaction amongst neighbors and connect people within the neighborhood. The amenities offered in each community are thoughtfully designed to give families somewhere to enjoy spending time with friends and neighbors outside of the home.
