The Star Awards are presented each year by the Texas Association of Builders to acknowledge excellence in the home building industry, and 2018 marks 25 years of showcasing the outstanding work of builders, remodelers, architects, designers, sales professionals, marketing professionals, construction professionals and industry leaders in Texas and the Southwest!
Huffines Communities was honored to accept two awards at this year’s ceremony.
Our very own Mark Edgren was awarded the much-deserved Project Manager of the Year for his outstanding work on our community Heartland, located in Kaufman County. Mark has overseen the development of Heartland for ten years–before Huffines took over management of the community!

His approach to developing is a true testament to why his community is thriving—his ability to overcome challenges and execute innovative practices while staying under budget and on deadline have resulted in huge success for Huffines Communities,” said Elvio Bruni, Huffines Communities President.
Mark’s dedication and leadership combined with his “boots on the ground” attitude have brought Heartland back into the top 10 selling communities in DFW, with more than 400 lots delivered and 116 acres developed in three different phases last year alone. Mark is incredibly deserving of this recognition and we are so proud of him!
Huffines Communities also received the award for Best Architectural Design in the Multifamily category for our multifamily complex located in Lewisville, TX – Hebron 121 Station.
Hebron is a completely unique complex designed as a series of ‘villages’ incorporating three distinct architectural styles: West Indies, Southern Coastal, and Cape Cod. Bold colors, standard unit amenities, and unique designs set Hebron 121 Station apart, and contribute to it being one of the most “resort-like” resort-style communities in the metroplex.
